Our Story

Chewing gum and kicking ass since 2011

We are an award winning digital experience studio based in Amsterdam.

OUR FOUNDATION

We’re a driven, enthusiastic team that knows a thing or two about creating behavior change and engagement. Our backgrounds are a mix of games, popular culture, creative, social media, digital strategy, and marketing.

HOW WE ENGAGE

We know engagement is created through symbiotic relationships between you and your audience. These relationship are unique to every situation. This is why we take a holistic approach to your challenge and skip the “one-size-fits-all” mentality.

SMALL AND PROUD

Yes, we’re small. We plan to stay that way. Being small allows us to be more flexible, efficient, and personal. We’re happy skipping the drama of a large agency, as it means we can focus on delivering top notch designs.

A “best practice” of gamification should be to let go
of the thought that gamification exists as a practice
and embrace gamification as an observation.

    Welcome to the lab

    Our dream team.

In the end, the team is what makes or breaks a project. Everyday we’re hard at work in the lab finding the best ways to create engaging experiences. We’re RED DOT winners, VIVA400 nominees, and all around ground breakers. Here are the minds behind Subatomic.

Subatomic movements in and out of the lab

We like to keep busy. Doing what? Well, we’ve given talks all over the world, opened the Dutch stock market, hosted panels, won awards, and even helped children create a pretty kick-ass bicycle transformer game to name a few. Keep an eye out for more, but here’s an impression of our Subatomic movements.
