It all starts with a solid foundation.
Make sure the goal for your audience is achieved before adding extras. Think of building a bridge. Clearly, having the bridge connect from one side to the other is the first step. Sure, it’s cool to add multi-colored responsive lighting in the hopes of creating extra traction, but if the bridge can’t be crossed, no one will use it. We feel every design needs to pass the “bridge check” in order to best engage.
Play is key.
Engagement is best achieved when users are given the space to play and explore. It’s still important, though, that they feel the comfort of structure and guidance. Great experiences let the user experiment and learn, but not get overwhelmed or lost. This is why we use methodology from games and play in almost everything we do.
“Never doubt that a small group of committed people can change, redefine and restructure the internal approach of the Elsevier’s true B2B eCommerce platform with exceptional results. This small group of people in our case was called Subatomic.”
“Subatomic has done outstanding work in the recent revision and redesign of our website. In addition Joanna has continued to ensure the ongoing work, not only concerning the website, but also all the newsletter communication & information coordination to and from our members.”
“Melinda is inspirational, really understands how to engage with the modern consumer and what makes them tick! I truly believe that successful projects can only be delivered by having the best people on board. Subatomic has exceeded our expectations and we can’t thank them enough for all of their hard work. I look forward to our continued working relationship.”
